Hi, I'm Rebecca!
Jan 14, 2022Hi, I’m Rebecca!
I’m beyond thrilled you took the time to stop by the blog! I thought it would be fun to introduce myself in this space, and of course you’re welcome to also check out my bio on the Shift for Health website.
Fun facts:
I grew up in the desert, and even after 21 years living out “east” (or “east-ish” now that we’re in Ohio) I still can’t believe how lush and green the landscape is. Before we moved to Ohio we lived in Baltimore, Boston and Chapel Hill.
I grew up with four sisters, and now have four boys which is pretty hilarious. I used to ask my husband all the time, “So, um, is this normal boy behavior?” because I truly had no idea! He grew up with four brothers (and one sister) and his answer was always, “Yep. Totally normal.” Haha!
I grew up in a family of picky eaters and “eat the rainbow” definitely meant consuming a package of skittles vs. eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables. When my husband and I got engaged, he asked if I would at least start trying new foods. I still remember the first time I tried guacamole, feta cheese and hummus – I could not understand how I had lived my whole life without them! It took me a long time to warm up to most veggies, but now I whole-heartedly LOVE (most of) them.
I recently found out I’m a whole inch taller than I thought I was. I’ve always had scoliosis and after years of yoga and weight lifting (through Crossfit) I managed to (unknowingly) straighten out my spine and as a result I’m an entire inch taller – and it still blows my mind!
xoxo,
Rebecca
